Friends of mine own this little speedster. His name is Merlin, and he is perhaps one of the happiest dogs I have ever been around. But what is really interesting is his effect on people and even the other dogs in his household. 

 

All dogs can be playful and run fast, and all dogs can bring a smile to someones face. But Merlin seems to go beyond that. No matter what time of day, or night, Merlin makes you feel like you should smile and laugh. When he plays with the other dogs, they change too and seem more light hearted. Merlin is like the person who is the life of the party, the person who just seems to light things up, without really trying. 

 

Merlin can literally walk up to you, sit down, and look you in the eye, and you will begin to smile. And when Merlin sees you smile he acts happy too. A bundle of energy that lasts all day without being annoying or obnoxious, or barking, Merlin has a magical quality that makes you wish you could run with him and jump for joy just for the shear pleasure of it. 

 

And that is Merlins Magic. Merlin enjoys life not because of WHAT’S in it for him, but just because HE is part of it. He lives as if someone created the whole world for him to play in and enjoy. There are no bad days for Merlin. Rain or shine, cold or warm, Merlin lives Life on the happiest of terms, HIS, and he invites anyone who steps into his world to enjoy it too.
