Flowers are an interesting event to me. I say event because they truly proceed so many “events” in our lives and they give us such beauty. 

They mark the seasons and seem as plentiful as stars in the sky. They come in thousands of colors and varieties. No two seem to be exactly the same. And their smells are as varied as they look.

Flowers “say” nothing and yet they “say” almost everything important.

Have you noticed that flowers can “say love”, “say sorrow”, “say happiness”, and are used during most of the events in our lives in one way for another. From the start of your life to the end of your life flowers will have played a significant role. Whether it is the announcement of an event, a birthday, and anniversary, a wedding, promotion, graduation, or the close of a life, flowers will be there.

This apple blossom reminded me about life. Here it celebrates spring, and through its beauty will brighten many peoples lives, attract bees and hummingbirds to give life and food to them, and then in a few months an apple will form and provide food for a variety of animals and literally millions of people the world over.
